He is doing mostly Python and some C# development now, but still really likes Delphi. He gets a kick of pointing out that the favorite Python editor his co-workers use is written in Delphi. At that time I had only the basic knowledge of Pascal, no books or Internet at that time. It was (and still is) really amazing, easy and fun to write GUI programs. I teached delphi to young students and they was very better (more proficient and more happy) than the others (java and visual basic ones). I think Delphi is the right choice in the MS world today, too. I find it more and more productive than the other tools.
